ADO.NET for Web Applications Using Visual Basics

Course No. NTXNET-215

This three-day intensive course teaches the essential elements of ADO.NET. Upon completion of this course the programmer will be able to utilize the tremendous database manipulation powers of ADO.NET to build effective database applications. To promote retention and teach application, this unique learning experience includes an in-depth case study demonstrating the use of ADO.NET in a realistic setting and an overview of its relation to previous Microsoft data access technologies. The courseware is current to .NET 4.0, Visual Studio 2010 and SQL Server 2008.

Prerequisites:

A basic knowledge of SQL and of programming the .NET Framework using C# is recommended. The student should also understand the fundamentals of XML. In order to fully benefit from the examples in the course, the student should be able to write simple web forms applications. A working knowledge of SQL Server is also desirable.
